Description

Introducing HexNest Branch in Yellow. HexNest is a Patent Pending formicarium ideal for the majority of ant species. Carefully crafted with the input of renowned ant keeping specialists, HexNest provides a modular solution that resolves or substantially decreases the issues encountered by ant keepers. It includes three hydration chambers and a refill bottle to conveniently regulate the humidity. Compact and expandable, HexNest is easy-to-use and can be connected to an Outworld, a 3rd party Formicarium, a Test Tube, or extra HexNest modules.

The following options are available for HexNest Branch Formicariums:

Substrate/No Substrate - A fine sand substrate is applied to the bottom of the Foundry. This provides several advantages for your queen ant. First, it provides a more natural surface for your queen and her workers. Secondly it helps to distribute humidity within the Foundry.
Red Cover - Red cover provides a light blocker for species sensitive to light. Ants can not see Red Light, so with the Red Cover, a nice dark environment is provided for your colony.
Vented/Not Vented - Some species of ants prefer airflow within the nest. Some species prefer no airflow. With the Vented option, there are small slits cut into the acrylic and the blockers, however some very small species may be able to escape through these small gaps. The Unvented version does not have these openings and far more suitable for very small species.
