HexNest Foundry

Founding chambers are special formicarium designed to be the initial home for a new queen. This small space is perfect for the queen to establish her new colony. 

Why a small space? New queens in nature are at risk of attack from other creatures. As such, they hide in small chambers and seal them shut (In most cases). This provides them a sense of security where they can feel comfortable establishing their colony. 

The HexNest Foundry emulates this tight space and also provides you the ability to manage hydration and provide proteins, water, sugars, and anything else your growing colony may need via an easy to use and seal access door. 

HexNest Foundry is designed to be completely compatible with HexNest Branch and HexNest Cyst formicarium. The Foundry comes complete with attachments to move your queen from a test tube and also comes with attachments to move her developed colony into a full size HexNest formicarium when the time comes.
